Noise Petals
I’m not sure if it’s just me getting older or what, but i’ve been thinking a lot about the concept of legacy and in particular, what it really means to me. When I started looking into old songs demos for this new recording project i’m working on, I was kind of taken aback at the amount of unfinished music that was just sitting on hard drives. Why bother keeping any of it? Especially amidst this emerging world of ai coupled with my own desire to distance myself from creative work.
Kind of funny to me that the result of processing these feelings alongside creating floral pieces with ai tools is the thing that helped me justify the release of unfinished work. A part of me wants to lean heavily into improvisation and errors when presenting my music, if anything…just to throw off the dataset in case anyone wants to model, ME.
